Huayan Monastery
Datong Huayan Temple is located in the downtown area of DaTong city. It is one of the largest China's existing , most complete preservation of the historic monastery building group, is a national key cultural relics protection units.Datong Huayan Temple belongs to the list of the first national cultural heritage. Not the same as with the other monasteries, it has a "Oriental Venus" inside, worthing a visit!

Huayan Temple consists of two temples and two mutually adjacent buildings.The main temple building has a main hall(The above temple) and Bo Ga to teach Tibetan temple (The below temple ), its buildings, statues, murals, wall concealed, caisson is an example of art of Liao dynasty.The above temple, west of the sitting east, shows the old customs of the Qidan,which is a minority of china. It has nine rooms'wideness, and five room'depth. There are five Buddha statues, behind the walls for the Qing Dynasty murals.The below temple is located in the temple on the South West of the house, Bo Jia house Buddhist sutra. Bo Jiadian was built in the Liao Chongxi seven years ( 1038 AD). Preservation Hall 31 statue of Liao Dynasty statue, looks plump, smooth clothing, look freely, is our country Liaosu in boutique. After founding a state, the below temple was turned into a museum in Datong, with jade, pottery, bronze, stone and so on, which have many boutiques.
